- These faqs are written by different readers of RPD who have experience
- with the breed in question. While in many cases (not all!) I post
- them. you should direct any questions to the authors of the FAQ rather
- than automatically to me.
-
- You are encouraged to volunteer to write new breed faqs, please
- contact me at tittle@io.com for details. I am happy to help you
- archive the faqs properly; however, you may decide to do it yourself
- or keep them offical; whatever. Please do let me know about it,
- though, so I can list it here.

-
- Assorted Other Official FAQs
-
- There is a FAQ dealing with the grief of losing a pet. It is
- generalized for all pets, and is archived at rtfm.mit.edu under
- /pub/usenet/news.answers/pets/pet-loss, or "send
- usenet/news.answers/pets/pet-loss" to the mail-server.
-
- There is a FAQ on fleas and ticks. It is not included with the dog
- FAQs because it is generalized for dogs AND cats. However, it is also
- archived at rtfm.mit.edu, under
- /pub/usenet/news.answers/pets/fleas-ticks for ftp, or "send
- usenet/news.answers/pets/fleas-ticks" to the mail-server.

-
- Unofficial FAQs
-
- Additionally, there are unofficial faqs that are NOT archived (I do
- not maintain nor take care of posting these). Sometimes these are
- preliminary/draft articles that will become "official" once finished
- (marked with "+"); these are often available at my web site before
- being posted:

- Further Resources
-
- Anonymous ftp to nowaksg.chem.nd.edu will get you to a collection of
- GIF's of RPD'ers dogs and of examples of specific breeds. Mike is
- happy to install GIFs that you send him here. Starter kits for
- different platforms (Macs, PCs, etc) are available to allow you to
- download and view the GIF files on your own machine. When you log on
- to this machine, you will get a greeting message that will tell you
- where to find what you want. Please don't ask me (or Mike!) how to ftp
- over to nowaksg. FTP programs vary by site, and I probably won't be
- able to help you. Ask your local system administrator instead.
